A member asked:

For 6 months i've had abdominal pain and received a diagnosis of diverticulitis after having a scope. the ct scan didn't show it. i've had lots of antibiotics and still have pain. i have a ct colonography next. what will it show?

You have diagnosis: Endoscopy showed diverticula , although majority will improve with diet , antibiotics , some will not improve like yours , suffer for month and years like you , has option surgical resection of the area and get relief . If you have appendicitis will not have any doubt to get it removed , same here.

Unknown: While nobody can predict with certainty what any test will show, i suspect it will show the same thing as the ct scan and colonoscopy findings, unless those tests were done a long time ago - maybe a year or more., or your symptoms have changed or progressed since they were done.
