Sphenoid sinus: Hello, a sphenoid sinusitis may be difficult to diagnose especially after fess. 2 months after surgery, your normal mucosal clearance may not be normal and the ct scan will show inflammation. Since the endoscopic exam showed swollen mucosa, the ostea must be patent. I would recommend continued sinus irrigation followed by an intranasal steroid 2x/day. A PO dose of Prednisone may also help.
