Tonsil stones: Tonsil stones are small bits of food that get caught in your tonsils and then the bacteria in your mouth start to live on the food. If it bothers you, see your doctor.

Need to see ENT doc: Sometimes you can have pus pockets from food stuck in your tonsils from pockets that formed from previous tonsillitis infections. It would be best to see an ENT to rule out the various bacterial and viral forms of tonsillitis as well. As one site i came across stated, if it looks like spam it probably just is spam, in reference to things that can get stuck in puss pockets. Worst case: tonsillectomy.

See your doc: See your doctor to get cultures and rule out if you are a strep carrier and to assess if you have/have had mononucleosis. You could investigate getting your tonsils removed, as they might interfere with your longterm wellness, if they are harboring any chronic infection.Consider seeing an ear, nose and throat(ent) specialist. You can use healthtap to "search doctor" for an ENT specialist near you.

See Family Dr. First: I suggest that you see your family dr. First. If they are puss pockets then culture swabs will be taken and sent to the lab. Depending upon the results anti-biotics should take cake of it. If it is something else then your family dr. Will discuss it with you and perhaps they can treat it or if not will refer you to the proper specialist. I hope this has answered your question sufficiently.
