Your son: You haven't said how old your son is, but it sounds like he's very afraid. Kids who have been thorough trauma like people fighting, earthquakes, floods, etc might react this way to loud noises. Has your son been exposed to these or similar things? Yes, if he's in distress often, please do take him to a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other professional so that he can be assessed and helped.
