Bad breath: Chronic bad breath can come from periodontal (gum) disease, poor oral hygiene, rampant unrestored decay, diet, mouth/tonsil infections, sinus infections with post-nasal drip, acid reflux, systemic infections. If you have no dental or oral infections and no systemic infections, then correct brushing and flossing, and brushing your tongue will help the most. Also may need to change diet.

Oral hygiene: Excellent oral hygiene with brushing and flossing twice daily, in addition to scraping your tongue. Add to that routine dental visit and treating tooth or gum infections. If you do all this and it still persists, then you may be having stomach problems.
