Perhaps: While implants are state-of-the art for replacing missing teeth, most of my Restorative Dental colleagues prefer to wait until all vertical growth has ceased. Se your Dentist for an evaluation and discuss restorative options and timing with him/her.

May want to wait: Most surgeons will want to wait until the body has finished growing. Although this part of his mouth is really done growing the implant should not be placed in the growth plate between his teeth and his nose. He will be done with the vast majority of his growth by age 25. Girls finish a few years earlier.
