I may have punctured my shin bone with a rusty nail. i got a tetanus shot but 4 months later i'm getting severe bone pain at the point of the injury.

Get a medical exam d: You should go see your doctor and get an examination done. There could be infection under the skin(?In the bone). This may require further tests if there is any local swelling or redness. An x-ray of the shin bone may be useful in order to make sure there is no deeper injury or infection in the bone.

Osteomyelitis: You may have an infection of the bone. An MRI or bone scan will verify the diagnosis.
