Xray: An xray may "know" this answer. It would not hurt to have it examined ! sometimes bones get "chipped" and need treatment. No doubt this time, to clarify it you should consult asap. Good luck !

Need more info: Do you have full range of motion of your wrist? Are you unable to move it in any direction without severe pain? Did you shut the door very hard? If so, i would suggest x-rays for further evaluation to check for fractures. If it is improving, able to move fully, and only tender at an obvious bruise, then a fracture is less likely.
