Nasal antihistamine: You probably need a nasal antihistamine, it will dry it up, if not, a combination nasal steroid and antihistamine should also help. Oral antihistamine will not do much for you, at 81 i suspect you have vasomotor rhinitis rather than allergic rhinitis. Best to see an allergist.
