However, there are many different things can cause polycythemia including conditions in lung ( chornic lung disease like emphysema etc) , sleep apnea ( you have this problem); condition with kidney, liver , drugs, familial, high altidtude etc vs primary bone marrow problem-i.E p.Vera.
