I was on oral steroid when i had a cbc test taken. it showed elevated red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. could this be from meds?

Absolutely yes: steroids can stimulate the bone marrow to produce more blood cells (all 3 lines of them) so you should not worry that this is something else. Long term (>2-3 weeks) steroids can do the reverse effect and suppress blood cell synthesis. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
