Depends: It really depends on the cause of the pink eye. The most common cause is due to a virus, in which case iit is generally supportive treatment with artificial tears. Bacterial infections are treated with antibiotics; inflammatory processes with steroids and non-steroidals; and allergies with anti-histamines. You need to see an eye md to find out what you have.

As long as: Your doctor recommended that you use it and you have no allergies to the medications and that there is no possibility of having herpes keratitis as the cause of your pink eye. Don' self-treat!
