Check your BP: If the nose bleed is always from the same nostril it could be due to a superficial vessel, or dryness in the nose. Apply saline nasal spray to keep the nostrils moist, check the blood pressure to make sure it is not elevated as this is a common cause of increased frequency of nose bleeds in adults, eliminate over the counter medications that predispose to bleeding like anti-inflamatories, aspirin.

Nose bleed: If your nose bleeds hold your nostrils between fingers for about 10 minutes. Sit up & hold your head & neck forward so the blood doesn’t just flow down your throat. If you are able to – place a moistened cotton ball over the area that is bleeding. If you can’t control the bleeding after 20 minutes – seek medical assistance. Nose bleed reasons: nasal congestion or nasal dryness, ^ blood pressure
