A member asked:

If you have ms and were exposed to c diff are you at greater risk to catch it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infection risk?: Ms does not cause increased risk of infection unless you were to reach severe end-stage debility. This of course can be prevented by use of potent disease modifying drugs, such as tysabri (natalizumab), (natalizumab) gilenya, or tecfidera. Aubagio has been associated with tuberculosis, Gilenya with herpes, tysabri (natalizumab) with pml, but none of the usual agents seem to increase risk of c. Diff.
