Tonsils: Hello, tonsil tissues are lymph organs that have unique folds, crypts and looks to them. When they are enlarged, they pose a problem with swallowing and breathing. They also have the ability to swell with inflammation. The red bumps in the back of your throat is lymphoid studding or islands of small lymph tissue. These are normal.
