Probably, but ask Dr: Since it can recur - you certainly want protection. The only issue would be if your residual discomfort would be a reason to wait. I doubt it, but ask the doctor. Be safe! hope you never need to go through it again.

Doubtful: The emergence of the zoster virus as shingles has probably stimulated your immune system to a significant degree and may have done so better than the vaccine. The shot would not calm down your present discomfort but may be a worthwhile consideration in a year or two.Please review your situation with your pcp and see what someone who knows you well would recommend.

Yes it's ok....: ...From my experience as a specialist. Just as long as the current shingles has resolved, if it's the residual discomfort left, there shouldn't be a reason to delay giving the vaccine.
