Herpes zoster: My policy would be to treat this because of the location and the potential for post-herpetic neuralgia. Why you were not seen by the dermatologist is a mystery.

Expected outcome: Since shingles shot contains live albeit weakened,virus, it can still cause minor outbreaks in some cases, based upon your overall immune status from previous exposure etc. Pl see attached Web MD link for Shingles helpline for treatment recommendation.
