Your cardiologist ca: Since this is a heart related matter, your family doctor should guide you and arrange a consultation with a cardiologist. Right heart can be dilated for any reasons that cause pulmonary hypertension such as chronic or acute lung disease. I would want to be sure there is no pulmonary emboli(blood clots in your lungs).

Yes.: Creutzfeldt-jakob disease (cjd) is an incurable, degenerative disease of the brain caused by incorrectly folded proteins. As the brain cells are destroyed, the brain tissue can shrink and become atrophied. The ventricles of the brain, which are fluid containing structures, can become bigger due to surrounding brain tissue loss. Thanks to m. Dinapoli, med student.
A 29-year-old member asked:

Why would a mass in the third ventricle cause hydrocephalus?

2 doctor answers2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Jonathan Dissin
Neurology 39 years experience
Obstruction of flow: A mass in the third ventricle could either obstruct the ventricle or severely limit the flow of cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) from the lateral ventricles to the 4th ventricle. This reduction in flow or obstruction of flow causes the CSF to well-up behind the obstruction producing increasing pressure and hydrocephalus. Relieve the obstruction or shunting the ventricle will relieve the hydrocephalus.
