A member asked:

How long can residual pain from diverticulits last?

Varies: Each person heals differently & depends on the severity of the episode of diverticulitis. It would be common for healing & recovery to take many days to a few weeks, with the discomfort continuing to diminish over that time. Avoid constipation, follow your doctor's instructions.

Depends on : Severity of attack. If it is a mild attack, you should be better in a week. If it is a severe attack, you might need to have immediate surgery.
