Anything possible: You may have picked up an intestinal bug in hawaii. Diverticulitis usually produces some pain or discomfort, but could be part of the problem. If this continues, see your doctor.

Maybe: Recent travel and diarrhea suggest turista usually due to a local strain of e. Coli . Diverticulitis is inflammation of the colon which presents with pain rather than diarrhea. See your internist for stool cultures and antibiotics if symptoms persist.
