A member asked:

What does it mean if my stye is still hard after hot compresses?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stye: Most styes have a core of inflammatory material inside. After a time, the core tends to fibrose and become hard. If the stye is resistant to hot compresses and topical antibiotics, it may need to be drained by your local ophthalmologist.
