Maybe: If the varicosities are of sufficient size, are associated with venous reflux, and contribute to peripheral edema, then i would recommend consulting a vascular surgeon who does radiofrequency ablation.

Yes: Laser ablation of incompetent (leaking) veins reroutes the venous drainage into healthy veins. This decreases the pressure in the skin veins back to normal and reverses the symptoms. We have used laser ablation in over 13000 cases with excellent results and few complications.

Closure of veins: Varicose veins are due to malfunctioning valves of usually the saphenous system of veins. The gold standard of treatment is to close the leaking valves by laser, radio frequency. Clarivein, Varithena or Venaseal. All treatments work and laser and RF have been used for a longer time than the other three.
