Well....: You certainly can. Taking something for two weeks doesn't really make much sense, though. Long term weight gain is caused by long term factors, which require long solutions.

Safe- will it work?: It is safe to use topamax (topiramate) for this, but it is not helpful for most people for weight loss. It is better as a preventer for seizures or headaches.
