If you are on a food avoidance diet for food allergies and you have allergy testing done, will the elimination diet mess up test results?

Taking an antihistamine will block skin test results that rely on histamine release triggered by food to cause hive or wheal reaction. RAST IgE antibody tests not affected by taking antihistamines. Food avoidance will take a long time if ever to result in negative allergy test .
