Complex issue: Firstly, you may have an infection and need to get the current problem sorted out asap. If you had 5 different operations for the same hernia, you should seek an opinion from a general surgeon with experience in complex hernia repair. Checking with the americas hernia society, and finding surgeons participating in their quality collaborative is a good start. May take more than one operation.
