96 hours (4 days) out from a lower molar extraction. should i still be concerned about getting dry socket?

Post op instructions: In most cases, you're past the danger point of your healing. But, it is still important to follow post operative healing instructions until the tissue around the socket returns to normal. That can take up to 4 -6 weeks to fully recover. Remember, just like picking a scab on your elbow, disrupting the healing will always delay the final healing process.

Probably not: You've passed the time frame that has greatest risk for clot wash-out. But that doesn't mean you are fully healed. Be prudent. Follow your treating Dentist's or Oral Surgeon's instructions to the letter.
