Diagnosis?: Talk to your pediatrician and ask for a diagnosis. It sounds like they want to treat her for a urinary tract infection and if i were you i would want them to explain that to me so i would not be worried.

Urine tests: White cells in urine does not automatically mean urine infection. Frequently, vaginal secretions mixed in urine give falsely (+) results. Presence of nitrates or bacteria in microscopic analysis may correlate better with suspected infection. If your daughter is symptomatic, the best thing is to do a urine culture and check for any bacterial colony formation.
