My urine test results are urine micro pus cells 25-30, epithelial cells 20-25.my doc have given antibiotic without having culture test done.is it ok?

Not at all: That is not right. The first thing would be to repeat the urinalysis since there were skin cells, ie, contamination, on the collection. These skin cells could have been the source of the wbcs. Also, how would he know if the antibiotic would properly treat this infection if there was no culture to base it upon. Pls repeat the test.

Hi I recently took a Urine Test. Results were as follows; S.G. 1.028 pH 5.5 slightly increased Urobilinogen amounts, Pus Cells 4-6/H.P.F. and positive for epithelial cells. Everything else was nil and normal. What does this mean? Does it mean a UTI?
