SSC dehisence: Superior semicircular canal (ssc) dehiscence syndrome is a rare but increasingly recognized condition in which vertigo and hearing symptoms are elicited by sound or pressure due to an anatomic defect at one part of the inner ear (ssc) in charge of our vestibular (balance)system. There is usually a type of conductive hearing loss as well as sound-induced vertigo. High-res ct scan helps diagnosis.
