2 possibilities: If you have normal ear canals and normal hearing, the pain can not be arising from ear structures unless you have an external otitis, that is, inflammation of the skin of the ear canal. 2 possibilities that need to be ruled out are TMD or muscle spasm of the muscles of mastication and a neuralgia of the 5th cranial nerve. However, the latter is usually not burning pain.
