Your 39 years old and are close to the timing recommended for your screening mammogram. I recommend that you see you doctor and get an exam with screening mammogram to alleviate any fear you may have.

Cancer not cause: Breast cancer does not present with pain, especially not the type of pain you are describing. I assume you are doing regular self exams. Is pain premenstrual? Do antacids or otc stomach medicines like Prilosec help? Does pain only come on when resting flat? See your provider to sort this out. Without history & exam it is hard to give further advice.
