A member asked:

What is the difference between vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and adipex?

Different molecules: Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is an amphetamine and is a pro-drug meaning it is not active until it enters the blood stream. Adipex is a sympathomimetic amine much like pseudoephedrine. Generally amphetamines are much more potent drugs than the sympathomimetcs, but both can cause serious side-effects.

Similar: Adipex - Phentirimine, is pharmatologically similar to amphetamine. It is used as an appetite suppressant. It is not well studied as a treatment for adhd, while Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) has been well studied.
