Not covered: Labioplasty procedure is a reduction of the length of the labia. Although, the labioplasty procedure can reduce discomfort associated with a long labia (with tight clothes), the procedure is not medically necessary. To my knowledge it is not covered by any type of insurance.

Not Typically: The main problem is trying to identify an indivicual at medicaid who can answer the question of predetermination. However, since the acog formally stated that the vast majority of these are medically unnecessary, it is likely that most agencies will determine this to be an elective procedure that is not typically covered unless truly perfomed as part of a vulvectomy procedure.
