Hairy tongue: Medications can cause hairy tongue as well as smoking. It is not general knowledge or a symptom associated directly with ms in particular.

Comorbidities: Many disorders can coexist with multiple sclerosis, but that does not mean the ms causes or promotes these and hairy leukoplakia is not seen with the vast majority of ms drugs.
