Unlikely: Although scabies is usually passed through human contact. However , animals do have a form of scabies that can spread to humans.

Doubtful: Animals ; pets carry different scabies mites.
Scabies mites that live on pets are different from the ones found on humans. But, mites on pets may be transmitted to you from an infested pet. They can burrow under your skin resulting in itching. This type of mite will not reproduce on you ; should die within several days. You won't require medication but your animal needs to be treated.
