Cleaning ear canals: Don't try cleaning by syringing the ear canals at home. You can place some hydrogen peroxide in the canal as long as the child has no pe tubes or ruptured ear drum. Let the hydrogen peroxide stay in the canal for 3-5 minutes and then gently dry/soak it up with a clean wisp of tissue.
