How do you feel?: Although the average person seems to need 8 hours of sleep average a night, some can exist on less and some need more. If you wake up feeling fatigued or feel tired during the day, then probably you are not getting enough sleep. If you wake up refreshed and are energized through the day then you are probably getting enough.

Sleep duration: Average sleep time is 6-8 hours. If you feel like you have enough energy to complete your daily activities without the desire to nap sounds like 5h is enough. However if you are dragging your feet and need to drink caffeine to keep you going more sleep is recommended.
