Treat symptoms: Tylenol/ claritin/ and Mucinex (guaifenesin) are safe in pregnancy if salt water gargles dont' help - and all above fails - consider doc visit if 1 week has gone by.

Not a problem: There are a few antibiotics that we don't give a pregnant woman because they could interfere with fetal development, but most do not. If she needs treatment, she needs only be sure to tell the doc she is pregnant & they would select treatment that is compatible with pregnancy.
