Within the bony ---: Structures of the back, the spinal cord (sc), which is the continuation of the brain, lies. The sc is surrounded by a layer, called the thecal sac. The front aspect of this is called the ventral t sac, while at the back, its the dorsal (or posterior) t sac. Its present from the neck down to the lower back. This sac contains the spinal fluid which bathes the sc, providing it nutrition.
