Can diverticulitis cause pain in the thighs and hips?

Perhaps: Not diverticulitis by itself but an abscess could impinge on various nerves that run through the pelvis and there is at least one nerve that could be affected like this. I would seek medical evaluation and consider a ct of the pelvis with oral/iv contrast.
