No sign of rupture: If diverticulitis ruptures, it is typically associated with either local or diffuse abdominal pain, worse when you press on the abdomen, but not bruising. Sounds like a trip to her doctors treating the diverticulitis is in order or a more complete evaluation. If not being treated, head to primary care or urgent care. Hope this helps!
