A member asked:

Is it ok to have an abg done two days in a row in the same arm.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: In general, the artery heals quite quickly. The odds of placing the abg needle in exactly the same spot is quite low. So -- it is ok to have arterial blood draws from the same artery, as long as you apply pressure for a good length of time (8-10 minutes).
