Why do you get a dark mark after a bee sting?

Postinflammatory hyp: This problem is called postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, and it results from a spot on the skin which gets irritated either but i bug bite or by some other process, and then as healing occurs the body lays down more pigment presumably to protect itself, but it takes months for them to go away. Rest assured, it does go away or can go back to normal skin tone if left alone.
