Concerning: If you have a mesh in place after a hernia repair and it is infected, there is no way the wound will ever heal. You need to see your surgeon rather than a wound care clinic. When meshes become infected they need to be removed or the wound will never heal.

Depends: I assume you mean is not healing. What is the underlying reason why? Is there tunneling? Is there exposed synthetic mesh or sutures causing chronic low grade infection that interferes with healing? Does the wound contain necrotic debris that requires debridement? Does the wound meet size requirements for a wound vac? You need to discuss this with the wound care clinic and your surgeon.

Stop ibuprofen: Ibuprofen stops would healing . Therefore , stop the ibuprofen. Injection of the would edges with Lidocaine will stimulate the would to heal. Unless there is a large collection of fluid , the would vac is not necessary

Not sure: I have used the vac for years now to assist in the healing of wounds. You need to make sure there is no foreign body in the wound that is prohibiting the wound to heal. May need a culture to make sure there is no infection. Sounds like the wound shld have healed by now.
