Family practice: Since you had an open hernia repair vs a laparoscopic procedure it will take you awhile to fully recover. You probably haven't been very active. Keep yourself hydrated and as your oral intake improves it should get back to normal. But call your dr and let him know what's going on.

Maybe: You really need to call your surgeon. While it is unlikely, you may need a bladder catheter.
