Probably fine...: But it all depends on how much you gave and what he weighs. If you gave him 80 mg and your husband did the same he is probably ok. Here's some info on symptoms you might find useful: http://www.Nlm.Nih.Gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002598.Htm.

.: Do not give him any more tylenol (acetaminophen) for the next 6-8 hours. Two doses does not cause toxicity but need to be careful not to give more. Also avoid all cough and cold medication, they also may have more Acetaminophen (tylenol (acetaminophen)).

Nothing: Depends on the dose but recommended doses are still below safe levels. Your poison control hotline would help you esp if you can tell them how much tylenol (acetaminophen) and how much the child weighs. Good luck.

Pediatric Tylenol (acetaminophen): The correct dosage should be based on weight not age, which I am sure you know and have taken into account. I am sure he will be completely fine so do not worry. The max dose is what should be the most concerning - so no more than 5 doses in 24 hours. You can alternate between tylenol (acetaminophen) and Motrin as well.

Nothing: It should not be a high enough dose to cause any significant issues.

Relax: If you followed the package directions and dosed him the normal dose according to his weight you are ok assuming he has no chronic illnesses. Dosing one time at twice the normal dose is not a problem. Just no more for at least 4 hours. Safer, is if he does need something else for fever before 4 hours are up, give him Ibuprofen if he can take it, and then go back to tylenol (acetaminophen) after 4 to 6 hours.
