I am in a wheelchair and have charcot-marie-tooth disease if i don' constantly move my feet get swollen i am already on diuretics what can i do?

Edema: Normally, swelling is avoided by the muscular contraction of our legs with walking. To the extent that you can't walk, you will accumulate normal fluid in your legs. A diuretic helps cosmetically but actually isn't good for you as it dehydrates all tissues non-selectively. The best you can do is: keep your legs elevated as much as possible, support hose, and accept the swelling.

Compression: Dependent edema may be difficult to treat. Further evaluation may need to be done to rule out other possible causes of swelling in the legs. You may want to try compression stockings.
