Depends: Mitral has two leaflets and an annulus-doorframe which holds the base of the valves. Cords, valve, annulus can all be abnormal. The repairs are specific to the patient and the valve pathology. Creative and may include neo cords, resections, and almost all with a ring annuloplasty.
