I had mitral valve repair ,is it also described as a mitral valvuloplasty? as it is on my medical records .i did have mitral valve repair with annuloplasty ring,but cardiology are certain i did have mitral valvuplasty (nec) i'm not so sure! confused.

Yes : Mitral Valve Repair it's a term used for the mitral stenosis and is used with open heart surgery, Mitral valvuloplasty is a medical procedure where your valve is opened to let de blood flow and they used a catheter to make it, the annuloplasty ring it's attached to keep the repair. If you have a doubt, you can always make your X-ray to watch the ring.
