Embrace it: As annoying as it can be, make a focused, conscious effort to seek out, identify and claim the 'drama' in your life. After a while it will either blend into your psyche's view of a 'normal day' (and thus seem less), or you will become less of a magnet for your social group to involve in their cumulative 'dramatic moments' (which will be less). Good luck!

Seriously explore: If you are attracted to dramatic events & people. Also explore if you are creating the drama. This can be done through therapy.

Investigate DBT: There is a particular form of therapy that is very helpful to decrease the excessive drama in an individual's life: dialectic behavior therapy (dbt), based on a specific program that combines cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness meditation. It is skills based and very effective.
